The Packing House

Why it belongs

The Packing House is at 900 E. Layton Ave. [3], and in October 2024 NPR described it as a supper club that owner Chris Wiken's mother, Margaret Wiken, opened in 1974 [2]. NPR also reported that the airport terminal stood across the street at the time and that a Friday fish fry is one of its staple meals [2]. Urban Milwaukee's business listing names Christopher Wiken as the restaurant's owner [3].
