The Tracks Tavern & Grill
Why it belongs
The Tracks is a tavern at 1020 E. Locust St. in the Riverwest neighborhood [3] that serves a fish fry every Friday, with perch, pollack and shrimp plates and rye bread on the side [1]. The building went up in 1906 as a tavern and residence, and Peter Wolbersen took over the bar in June 1970 and named it for the railroad next door [3]. In 2019 Wolbersen still held a 30 percent stake and owned the building [3].
