# What it is

A polling place is where voters cast their ballots in elections [wiki-polling-station]. The City of Milwaukee Election Commission names one for each of the City's wards, with its address, its voter entrance and its accessible entrance [mke-voting-wards].

# When and how

In Wisconsin the polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. at every election [wis-stat-6-78]. A voter who is not registered can register at the polling place on election day [wis-stat-6-55]. Each record on this list names the wards the building serves.

# How a place gets on this list

A building gets on this list when the City's voting ward file names it as a polling place [mke-voting-wards]. Polling places are not licensed businesses, so the business counts leave them out.

# Listed places

0 places listed.

No places listed yet.

# On record

Little Milwaukee builds each record here from public data, such as City of Milwaukee licenses, and files it under this category. A record is not a listing: a place is listed only when it passes the inclusion rule and has its own page.

1 record on file. Full list: [Polling places on record](https://littlemilwaukee.com/places/polling-places/records).
